Opening Times
Monday to Friday 6.30am to 9.30pm
Saturday to Sunday 9.00am to 6.00pm

Please check your membership times and allow 15 minutes prior to closing time if you would like to shower after your workout. Please also vacate the Spa Area AT LEAST 15 minutes before closing time to allow safe closure procedures.

Membership:
  • All members must swipe into the club on arrival with their TechnoGym key. This is regardless of the facility being used (Gym, Studio, Wet Area).

  • Alive & Well reserve the right to reject membership applications without giving reason for doing so, any monies owed will be refunded.


  • Gymnasium:
  • All members must have an induction before using the equipment.

  • All gym inductions, reassessments, fit tests are to be booked in at main reception.

  • It is the members’ responsibility to check they are in a good state of health whereby exercise can be undertaken.

  • The personalised exercise programmes will be designed by a qualified member of our staff. We recommend that you follow this programme. Alive & Well are not liable for the consequences of not following your individual programme.

  • Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing when in the gym.

  • Bottled water only is allowed in the gym, this is strongly recommended during your workout.

  • No mobile phones or bags are allowed in the gym.

  • Towels are compulsory in the gym when using the equipment.

  • In the interest of hygiene, please wipe down the equipment once used.

  • Children under the age of 16 cannot use the facilities without the discretionary agreement of the management.


  • Studio:
  • All classes must be booked at main reception.

  • On arrival for your class, you must check in with your key at the main reception desk.

  • If for any reason you cannot make the class, you must ring to cancel. There could be someone on the waiting list that wishes to use your space.

  • Failure to ring and cancel on 3 occasions will result in a £10 fine.

  • Clean soled trainers must be worn in the studio.


  • Wet Area:
  • Showering before using the Spa Pool, Sauna, and Steam is compulsory.

  • Swim-wear must be worn at all times.

  • A towel must be used to sit on when in the sauna and steam room.

  • Please read the signage in the wet area before using the facilities.


  • Changing Area:
  • All lockers are £1 coin operated. Unfortunately, the club cannot lend £1 coins to members, however, we will give change wherever possible.

  • All valuables must be stored in lockers.

  • We ask members to leave the changing area as you would expect to find it.

  • Complimentary hand soap, shower gel and hairdryers are provided.

  • Please do not use any hair colourants in the showers.


  • Towel Hire:
  • Towels are available to hire at main reception, with a charge of £1.00 per towel.

  • A deposit of £5.00 is also required, this is refundable on return of the towel.


  • Solarium:
  • Use of the solarium is at members own risk.

  • We recommend you seek medical advice prior to using solarium.

  • A disclaimer must be signed before use.

  • Members must wear eye protection when using the sunbeds.

  • Please read the signage at the sunbed prior to use.


  • Guests:
  • Members are allowed to bring no more than 2 guests at one time. They are responsible for the payment of the guest fee, normally set at £10.00 per person per visit, and for the conduct of the guests whilst in the club.

  • Guests should have read the club rules before using the facilities, and fill in a guest registration form at reception.

  • The club has the right to refuse admission.

  • Guests are to be accompanied by the member at all times.


  • Lost Property:
  • Overnight use of lockers is not permitted.

  • Lockers are emptied at the end of each night.

  • Any items found in the lockers (or elsewhere in the club) will be kept for a 2 week period, after which they will be donated to a local charity.


  • Mobile Phones:
  • In circumstances where mobile phones MUST be taken onto the gym floor we would ask you to respect other members, using them discreetly and to alert a member of staff that a mobile phone is present on the gym floor.


  • Charges:
  • All members and guests should pay the appropriate charges before using the facilities.


  • General:
  • Members should not use the facilities whilst under the influence of alcohol.

  • The facilities may be closed down at any time due to repairs, decoration, cleaning, or other such activities.

  • Please make sure that you read all signs prior to using the facilities (e.g. steam room, sauna, solarium) in order to ensure that they are operational.


  • Security:
  • Members and guests are asked not to leave valuables in the club.

  • Alive & Well do not accept liability for loss or damage to the personal property of those using the club facilities.

  • Please store personal belongings in lockers provided.


  • Policy on Membership freezes:
  • Alive and Well will agree to memberships being frozen at the discretion of the management.

  • Members need to provide one months notice for a membership to be frozen and sign documentation that they agree to continue their payments after freeze.


  • Membership Agreement:
    Direct Debit Payment Plans - Please make sure that you read your contract thoroughly. Be aware you have entered into a twelve-month, non-cancellable agreement with Alive and Well. This specifies that you will pay twelve monthly instalments for your membership to our finance company D.F.C. However, we do accept cancellations from those members who relocate or move out of the area. If your company relocates, you are made redundant or you leave your employment for whatever reason, taking you out of a travelable distance both residentially and in respect of your employment, Alive and Well require 30 days notice stating your intention to cancel your membership in order to authorise, and process the application. In addition, proof of your relocation is required from your employer and a £25.00 cancellation fee.

    Upgrade and Downgrade of a membership:
    An administration charge is applicable when making changes to your membership payments made by Direct Debit. In most cases this will be set at £10.00 per change.
